DOCUMENTARY THEATRE ATELIER
Transforming Trauma Through Art: War Rapes and the Re-Collection of Self and Community
Dates: 23 – 27 April 2013, presentation: POLIP International Literature Festival 10-12 May 2013
Location: Dodona Theatre
Led by: Elizabeth Hess
The 5-day atelier creates space for young theatre artists to explore the topic of war rapes through testimonies and representations of the topic in public discourse. They will engage in a working process that switches between personal and collective journals on the performative relation between text and image. They will spark the artistic imagination to break through silence and taboo to illuminate stories that reveal buried truths in a way that is resonant, re-considered and ready to be witnessed on the stage.
More information as well as the concrete programme to come soon.
